Cake Class II

Cake class!  This is my second project cake, basketweave trim and royal icing flowers.

The roses were fun, the lilies were fun.

The white primroses with inadvertent pink trim were fun (there was some rose pink leftover in my piping bag when I put in the white, and they came out like this!  Which is great because, primroses really look like that!).

But my heart really belongs to those little blue violets.  Such unassuming little fellows, spending all of their time making their companions pop.

But without them, this cake would be a mess of pink and orange.

Shine on, little blue violets.  Shine on.

Lovely deco and it' so attractive. Got some ideas now on how I can go about decorating cakes but to tell you the truth, I seldom bake.

So pretty , Anna ! Those roses are beautifully-made :) Just love the blue violets here and there - its color is really attractive and such a gorgeous backdrop for all those other colors :D

Wow!! This looks so amazing! The decor looks really great. What kind of cake did you choose to bake? Vanilla? Chocolate? Mango?

thanks jeanne :) yes it's sort of heart breaking to eat food you've spent such a long time making, but then wouldn't it be worse NOT to eat it? that's what i tell myself.
